This is a favourite of many Turkish Christians, who have said that it gave them encouragement to go on in their faith, to trust God completely no matter what the cost. A highly recommended and easy-to-read allegorical novel.

Geyik Ayaklarę beautifully dramatises the yearning of God's children to be led to new heights of love, joy and victory. The book seeks to help readers develop an unbroken union with God by learning to accept his will in their lives.Discover the story of a young woman named ‘Much-Afraid’, and her journey away from her Fearing family and into the High Places of the Shepherd, guided by her two companions ‘Sorrow’ and ‘Suffering’. It is an allegory of a Christian devotional life. The book takes its title from Habakkuk 3:19, "The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places." Learn how Much-Afraid overcomes her tormenting fears as she passes through many dangers and mounts at last to the High Places. There she gains a new name and returns to her valley of service, transformed by her union with the loving Shepherd.

Hannah Hunnard was born in 1905 in England to Quaker parents. In 1932 she moved to live and work in Haifa, Israel. Her work in Israel lasted 50 years.
